A favicon is the icon associated with a URL that is variously displayed, as in a browser's address bar or next to the site name in a bookmark list.

If you have a GoSite website you can update your favicon in the website editor from your computer. This article with take you through the steps!


How to update your favicon:

  1. Log in to GoSite from your computer.

  2. Select "Sites" from the left-hand side.

  3. Scroll down to the website section and hover your mouse over the preview image.

  4. Click the "Edit" button. This will open the website editor in a new window or tab.

  5. In the website editor, click the "Settings" button in the top right corner.

  6. Select "SEO Settings" from the menu on the left side.

  7. Scroll to the bottom and click the arrow next to "Favicon Settings."

  8. Click the "+ Upload Favicon" button that appears below.

  9. Select an image file from your computer and click "Open." (Note: Choosing a square or circular image is best, if possible.)

  10. When the favicon has been uploaded successfully you will receive a notification in the top right of your screen.

  11. IMPORTANT: Click the "Publish" button in the top right to save your changes.

    Your new favicon will appear as the icon next to your browser tab or window.
