This article will cover how to add a Payments Link to your website so your customers can pay you securely through your website without having to send an invoice or payment link!

Note: In order to add Payments links to your website and receive payments, your Payments tool needs to be activated. Need help? Check out Applying for the Payments tool.

Option 1: Create a "Pay Now" Button

Creating a generic "Pay Now" button on your website will direct your customers to a secure website where they can send you payment by entering their debit or credit card information.

Note: You will need to be in your website editor to create a "Pay Now" button. Need help getting there? Check out Accessing the Website Editor.

Follow the steps below to add a "Pay Now" button to your website.

  1. Log in to GoSite on your computer.

  2. Open your website editor.

  3. Hover over the section of your website where you would like to add a "Pay Now" button.

  4. Click the blue pencil icon.

  5. Drag a button widget to your desired location.

    Note: If you are creating a new section for your button you will need to first drag over a grid. Grids are located below the widgets in the menu on the left.

  6. Click the button you just dragged onto your website to open the button settings.

  7. The button settings will open on the left side.

  8. Under "General Settings" you can choose a button style, rename your button (under "Button Text") and choose an icon by searching with keywords.

  9. Under "Advanced Settings" you can customize how you'd like your button to look (not all options are pictured below).

  10. Click the "Link Settings" button (at the bottom of the menu).

  11. Select "Web Address" from the menu on the left.

  12. Enter payments.gosite.com into the "Enter website URL" field.

  13. Click the "Save" button to the right.

  14. Click the "Save" button in the top right corner, then click "Publish."

    Your Payments link will now be live on your website!

    When a customer clicks the button, they directed to payments.gosite.com to make a payment. They will need to click the "New Payment Request" button to send your business money. They will simply type the amount they would like to send and add their credit or debit card information.


Option 2: Create a Payments Widget

Creating a Payments widget means setting up a pop-up payment window on your website for a service you provide. If you provide multiple services with unique pricing you will need to create a new Payments widget for each service. Follow the steps below to create Payments widgets and add the widget to your website.

  1. Log in to GoSite on your computer.

  2. Open "Payments."

  3. Click the "Widgets" tab.

  4. Click the "+ Create Widget" button in the top right corner.

  5. Fill out the form details.

  6. Scroll to the bottom and click the "Save" button.

  7. Your new widget will appear in the "Widgets" tab.

  8. To access the embedded code, click the "Embedded Code" button for the widget you just created.

  9. Copy the code by clicking the "Copy" icon in the top right.

  10. Log in to GoSite on your computer and open the website editor.

  11. Hover over the section of your website where you would like to add a Payments widget.

  12. Click the blue pencil icon.

  13. Drag a code widget to your desired location.

    Note: If you are creating a new section for your button you will need to first drag over a grid. Grids are located below the widgets in the menu on the left.

  14. Click the code widget you just dragged on to your website to open the embed-code settings.

  15. Paste the embedded code into the "Paste Embed Code Here" text box shown below.

  16. On your website, you will see the below note.

  17. You can click the "Preview" button in the top right corner to preview your website with the new widget and test it out.

  18. Click the "Save" button in the top right corner, then click "Publish."

    Your widget is not live on your website!
