Posting to your Google and Facebook business pages is a great way to improve your online reputation. Posting allows you to directly communicate with your local customers, improve your customer experience with timely information, promote your sales, specials, events, news, and offers, and engage with your customers through photos. Creating public posts shows the Google and Facebook platforms, your customers, and your prospective customers that your business is active, operational, and trustworthy.

  • "before and after" photos you're proud of

  • customer testimonials

This article will show you how to post to Google and Facebook from GoSite on your computer and mobile device.

Note: Posting to Google and Facebook from GoSite can only be done if your Google My Business page and Facebook Business page are connected to GoSite. If you haven't done this yet, check out Connecting Your Google My Business Page to GoSite and Connecting Your Facebook Business Page to GoSite.


Which device are you using?


Posting to Google and Facebook from your computer

  1. Log in to GoSite from your computer.

  2. Click "Placement" from the menu on the left.

  3. Select the "Posts" tab.

  4. Start typing your post into the "Write your post..." text field.

  5. You can add an image to your post from your computer's files by clicking the "Attach Image" button that appears below the text field.

  6. Choose where you would like to post (Google and/or Facebook) by checking the box next to the respective icon.

  7. Click the send button to post!

    If you are posting to Facebook only and wish to schedule out the post at a later date/time, instead of clicking the send button, click the "Select Post Type" drop-down menu and select "Schedule." Select your desired date and time for the post and click "Save." (Note: Scheduling posts is currently only possible with Facebook.)

    If you are posting to Google only and wish to add an upcoming event to your Google My Business page, instead of clicking the send button, click the "Select Post Type" drop-down menu and select "Event." Select the start date/time and end date/time, and click "Save." If you would like to add a button with a link, toggle on "Add Button." (Note: Posting events is currently only possible with Google.)


Posting to Google and Facebook from your iPhone

  1. Open GoSite on your iPhone.

  2. Click the three-line menu icon in the bottom right.

  3. Tap "Placement."

  4. Tap "Google Insights" at the top of the screen.

  5. Select "Posts."

  6. Tap the blue pencil icon in the bottom right.

  7. To write a post, Select "Write Post." To post an event, click "Create Event."

    Writing a post:

    1. Tap the blank space to start typing your post.

    2. You can add an image to your post from your phone's files by tapping the paperclip icon.

    3. Toggle on the platform (Google and/or Facebook) that you would like to post to.

    4. Click "Post" in the top right corner to post immediately, or if you are posting to Facebook only you can tap the "Publish now" drop-down menu (next to "Schedule for...") to choose a later date/time to publish, then click "Done." (Note: Scheduling posts is currently only possible with Facebook.)

    Posting an event (currently only possible with Google):

    1. Fill in the event title, start date and time, and end date and time.

    2. If you would like to add a button, toggle on "Add Button." Select the button text from the "Button Text" drop-down menu, and add the button link.

    3. You can add an image to your post from your phone's files by tapping the paperclip icon.

    4. Make sure Google is toggled on (posting events is currently only possible from Google).

    5. Type out a description in the "Write post..." section.

    6. Click "Create" in the top right to post your event. (Note: Posting events is currently only possible with Google.)


Posting to Google and Facebook from your Android phone

  1. Open GoSite on your Android phone.

  2. Tap the three-line menu icon in the top left.

  3. Select "Placement."

  4. Select "Posts" at the top of the page.

  5. Tap the blue pencil icon in the bottom right.

  6. To write a post, Select "Write Post." To post an event, click "Create Event."

    Writing a post:
